Lord Dhanvantari at Healin' Temple

OM DHANVANTARAYE NAMAHA
'I bow down to Lord Dhanvantari'
This is the prayer offered. The statue is kept near the entrance, in the north-east corner.
Dhanvantari (also Dhanwantari, Dhanvanthari) (धन्वंतरी) is an avatar of Lord Vishnu from the Hindu tradition. He appears in the Vedas and Puranas as the physician of the gods (devas), and the controller (god) of Ayurvedic medicine. Lord Dhanvantari was an early Indian medical practitioner and one of the world’s first surgeons. The worshippers do pray to Lord Dhanvantari asking him for improved or good health for themselves and/or others.
May God bless us all with good health!
