Flowers at Munnar

Flowers growing at Munnar: Carpet of colours!

The best place we liked in Kerala, was Munnar. It is a hill station. The temperature is so nice that most hotels don't have even a fan, forget the air condition machine! It is cool most of the time. It is famous for tea plantation. However, I was so delighted by the flowers! So many varieties! I brought some plants home, hoping it will survive Mumbai weather! This is the place, I wish to also visit again! Just to rest in the company of flowers! To breath oxygen! The fact that we make remedies from flowers, we are always on the look out for the flowers growing all over India. This is indeed one special place to see flowers.
Tea garden visit and tea factory was indeed very eye opening. We have stopped drinking tea or coffee since a few months. This had very positive effect on our health. We guess now why tea may be harmful for health, after checking the process of tea making at the factory. However, we are suspecting that green tea might be helpful for health. We are doing research on this.

Visit to the Sivananda Ashram

Our visit to the Sivananda Ashram at Neyyar Dam was very memorable. It is indeed a very calm place, away from the fast, busy world that we live in. It is at a height near the dam. The first picture shows me standing and some yoga pose statues in the background, near the dam. I wish to go there again for yoga vacation of 15 days in near future. The people at ashram were very helpful, friendly. I felt at home with them. The second picture shows Atul standing near the dam.

Kerala Impressions

We just returned home from a very happy trip to Kerala. Kerala, called as coconut country, is truly God's own country. I feel we are blessed to have such beautiful, calm, serene place to be here in India. Coconut trees, rice fields, spice gardens, tea gardens, babanas, clean beaches, vast lakes, cool mountains, elephants, flowers, Yoga, Ayurveda, fresh air....so many nice things to remember. I will be sharing more here later. For now, some pictures to see.
